About the program

 “Mawhiba Ambassadors” Program plays a crucial role in directing students toward application processes for international programs hosted by premier global universities beyond the Kingdom's borders. The Foundation provides comprehensive assistance throughout the students' participation, commencing with registration for the international programs and continuing until their successful conclusion. These programs are delivered through in-person instruction in various countries, including the US and UK. Furthermore, the curriculum extends beyond academic and scientific instruction to incorporate activities specifically designed to cultivate the multifaceted skills of high-achieving individuals.

Upon acceptance into the Program, the student will receive travel tickets.

Note: Registration in the National Program for Gifted Identification is a fundamental prerequisite for nomination in this Program.

Targeted Students:

Students enrolled in the National Program for Gifted Identification and currently studying in Grade 11, Sciences track.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Program Enrollment:

  • The student must be of Saudi nationality or born to a Saudi mother.
  • The student are required to have achieved a score of 1500 and higher on the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT), regardless of the language of the assessment (Arabic or English).
  • Students who undertook the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT) in Arabic must also present evidence of English language proficiency by obtaining at least one of the following minimum scores on the following English language tests:

  • Students are strongly advised to achieve a high score on the IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo English Test, as these qualifications are frequently essential criteria for admission to international programs.
  • Students are required to pay program fee to secure their seats.                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

Important Notes:

  • Registration will be opened for students in batches based on their scores in MMCAT from highest to lowest until seats are filled. Please note that seats are limited.
  • Students & guardians have to sign Program Rules & Regulations Document before registeration.
  • Please read each program information carefully before registration and paying the fees.

  • 5 Agree to the terms and conditions.

Who is eligible to register for the program?

Students of The National Program for Gifted Identification, whom current grades is 11th, who meet the requirements for registration in the program

What countries are the program held in?

Students are nominated for international programs in

the U.S. and the  U.K.. The Mawhiba Ambassadors

Program is working toward expanding its global reach

in alignment with its program standards.

Does registration in Mawhiba Ambassador Program grantee acceptance in the international program?

No, registering in the international program does not equate final acceptance. Students must wait for acceptance from the program which is influenced by the quality of the supporting martials submitted by the student.

If a student is not nominated, can they apply to these programs independently?

Yes, students may apply independently to the program

of their choice. However, in this case, they will not be

considered “Mawhiba” students, and Mawhiba bears

no responsibility or financial obligations toward their

participation.

Who covers the program and travel costs?

A. Costs Covered by the Student:

•  The participation fee for the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program, as specified in the Guidelines for Student Participation in the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program.

•  International medical insurance.

•  Visa issuance fees.

•  Any additional program-related expenses, such as books, supplies, and stationery.

•  Any other personal or incidental expenses.

B. Costs Covered by Mawhiba

Mawhiba covers the following as part of the program's tuition:

•  The cost of the international program, including:

Program attendance fees.

Participation fees for the international program.

Student accommodation and daily meals provided by the hosting institution.

Transportation between the airport and the program venue (in accordance with the regulations outlined in the Guidelines for Student Participation in the Mawhiba Ambassadors Program).

•  A round-trip economy class ticket for the student to the country where the program is held.

Are there any companions for students from Mawhiba when they travel to the program?

No,  Students are expected to travel independently. In accordance with Mawhiba's policy, students will be housed in appropriate accommodation, as required by the program, either at the program’s headquarters or in university housing. They will be supervised by program officials. While parents may accompany their children during travel and stay in the same city as the program, Mawhiba will not cover any associated expenses.

What should the student do if their guardian wants to accompany them to the country where the program is held?

If the guardian wishes to accompany the student, Mawhiba will not be responsible for any costs or arrangements related to the guardian’s travel, including changes to reservations, accommodation, visas, or other expenses. The student is not allowed to leave the program and stay with the guardian during the program period. Mawhiba disclaims any responsibility for the student outside of the program hours and after the program has ended.

Can a student request separate accommodation during the program?

Depending on the program, students can request a single room at their own costs if required, for more information please read the international program page.

What is the registration process for international programs?

A Mawhiba coordinator is assigned to each student after they are nominated for the program. The coordinator will guide the student through each step of the registration process. Students must follow the coordinator's instructions and should not proceed with any steps until they have communicated with the assigned coordinator.

How important is it to communicate with the organization before, during and after the program?

Communication skills are crucial and are considered one of the most important qualities for candidate students, reflecting their professionalism. Therefore, students must respond promptly to all correspondence from Mawhiba.

What are the responsibilities of students after joining the Mawhiba Ambassadors programs?

Students are responsible for following the instructions provided by Mawhiba and the Program, and for submitting all required documents within the deadlines specified by both Mawhiba and the Program.

How much money does the student need during their participation in the program for expenses?

The amount varies based on the program's duration and the city where it is held. This information is usually available on the program’s website, especially in the FAQ section. Students can also reach out to the program directly before traveling for further details.

What type of visa does a student need?

The student will obtain the visa based on the program’s requirements and in accordance with the visa type specified on the official website and in the information file provided to nominated students. Visa types may vary depending on the specific program.

Is the registration fee refunded after completing participation and all requirements?

The refundable deposit of 1,000 SAR will be returned subject to the submission of all post-program deliverables. These include the certificate of participation, evaluation form, final project (if applicable), and any other requirements requested by Mawhiba following the student’s participation.
