About the program

The Mawhiba After School Enrichment Program is a cognitive  venture that is available to grades 7-12 students in public schools during the academic semester and is implemented after the school day.  It aims to provide the students with an opportunity to develop themselves, enhance experiences, and deepen their level of knowledge.  It complements the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program, which is implemented during the summer vacation.

 

In the event that a student participated in any of the enrichment units during the summer vacation, they will have an opportunity to probe for a unit in which they have not participated before.

  • Giving students an opportunity to continue building their experiences and aspirations and discovering their skills.

 

Program Mechanism

Mawhiba After School Enrichment Program is implemented either in person in some regions of Saudi Arabia, or online through Mawhiba e-learning platform, which serves gifted students in all of Saudi Arabia.

Conditions for joining the Mawhiba After-School Enrichment Program

Note:  Registration for the program is available from October to November of each year, and is implemented from December to February of each year.

Target group

Students of the National Program for Gifted Students in the first, second, third, first and second secondary grades.

Program registration requirements

1. The student must be of Saudi nationality or have a Saudi mother. The remaining non-Saudis will be accepted, not exceeding 10% of the total number of students.

2. The student must obtain the required score of “1310 or higher” on the Mawhiba scale for multiple mental abilities.

3. The student must pay the financial contribution immediately after registering in the system, in order for his/her final registration in the program to be approved.

You can apply for a partial exemption from the financial contribution value for registration in the programs through the registration system if you belong to one of the following categories, provided that supporting documents are attached to verify the validity of the application. 
  1. Families registered with social security.
  2. Affiliates of a charitable association.
  3. Children of martyrs.
  4. Their status is proven by a legal document (insolvency document)

What is the Mawhiba After School Enrichment Program?
It is an enrichment program targeting middle and secondary school students in the first and second secondary grades. It offers the teaching of 12 enrichment units appropriate for this educational stage during the second semester.
How do I nominate myself/my child/for the Mawhiba after-school enrichment program?
The student must be registered in the National Program for Giftedness Identification , in accordance with the criteria and conditions for admission to the program via the registration page.

There is no difference, the Mawhiba after-school enrichment program is an opportunity for those who did not participate in programs during the summer vacation.

The program is implemented remotely for “male and female students” through the e-learning platform, which serves gifted students in all regions of the Kingdom.
Is there a percentage for the student's attendance to obtain the certificate?
Yes, the student must attend all lectures and activities in the program and will be denied the award of the certificate if his/her attendance rate is less than (80%) of the program hours. It is also permissible, as an exception, to award the certificate to the student if his/her attendance rate is less than (80%) of the program hours if he/she presents an acceptable excuse, provided that the attendance rate is not less than (70%) of the program hours.
Is there a contribution value for participating in the Mawhiba After School Enrichment Program?
The value of the guardian’s contribution to the remote program for the intermediate stage: 320 riyals. The value of the guardian’s contribution to the remote program for the secondary stage: 420 riyals. Partial tuition fee waiver student contribution value: 150 riyals.
How do I pay the guardian's contribution to the program?

Can I get a refund for the parent contribution if I do not attend the after-school enrichment program?

Can a student change the enrichment unit before the end of the registration period and after completing the payment of the guardian’s contribution?
Yes, it is possible to submit a transfer request through the registration website, if there are seats available in the other unit.
Can a student change the enrichment unit of the program after the end of the registration period?
Transfer is not possible after the end of the program registration period.
