Public Speaking

It is an integrated training program that focuses on building personal skills and public speaking skills for students in middle and high school. The program is characterized by its comprehensive and integrated system that includes training sessions, games and special activities that aim to hone students’ personal skills and public speaking skills and help them become active members with confident and influential leadership personalities who are able to present their ideas and projects and introduce themselves in various forums and competitions, which qualifies them to contribute to building society. 

Program Goals: 

1- Developing and enhancing personal and public speaking skills among Mawhiba students. 

2-  Control stress and confusion.  

3-Preparing and organizing ideas according to mind maps. 

4- Knowing the elements of word power and success factors. 

5- Developing body language skills, voice abilities and visual communication in presentation. 

6-Develop listening skills. 

 

Program competencies: 

 

The program consists of 10 competencies through which students discover the skill of public speaking and oratory using various activities and with the help of specialized trainers. These competencies are:

1- Communication.

2- Orientation.

3- Vision.

4- Adaptation. 

5- Creative thinking.

6- Self-confidence.

7- Building a mind map.

8-Suggest ideas.           

9- Controlling stress and dealing with pressures. 

10- Delivery, presentation and body language. 

 

Program components:

1- Practical activities. 

2- Specialized skill bag and activities. 

 

Program implementation mechanism

The program is implemented either in person in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran, or through the e-learning platform (remotely) which serves gifted students in all regions of the Kingdom.

Generation of literature

​​​​​​​​An enrichment program implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, represented by the General Authority for Literature, Publishing and Translation, in the field of linguistic and literary creative abilities. This program consists of an enrichment unit that focuses on developing the skills of the gifted in the field of creative and literary abilities, developing them, refining them, and training them in the actual practice of literary writing.

Program Goals
1- Developing the ability to express and write literature.
2- Developing investigation and research skills such as observation, comparison, measurement, communication, classification, analysis, generalization and evaluation.
3- Developing problem-solving skills, critical and creative thinking, and higher-order thinking skills.

4- Developing self-confidence, self-organization, self-direction and self-understanding.

Program Competencies 

First: Creative writings, whether related to literary genres: science fiction stories, detective stories, children’s stories, very short stories, and articles of all kinds.

Second: Linguistic skills related to linguistic reasoning, reading comprehension, language adaptation skills, understanding linguistic metaphors, imaginative artistic images, and creating an artistic scene.

3- Exercises and homework to prepare various models of genders in this unit.

Note: Registration for the program is available from October to November of each year and is implemented from December to February of each year .

Target group

Mawhiba enrichment program in public speaking and rhetoric
Students of the National Program for Gifted Identification from middle and high school from the current academic year.
Mawhiba Enrichment Program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in cooperation with Manshaat
Students of the National Program for Giftedness Identification for the second and third secondary grades of the current academic year.
Talent Enrichment Program, Generation of Literature (Creative Writing) in cooperation with the General Authority for Literature, Publishing and Translation
Students of the National Program for Gifted Identification from the intermediate stage of the current academic year.

Program registration requirements
1.  The student must be of Saudi nationality or have a Saudi mother. The remaining non-Saudis will be accepted, not exceeding 10% of the total number of students.
2.  The student must obtain 1310 points on the Mawhiba scale for multiple mental abilities.
3.  The student must be a resident of the city where the program is held. In the event of registration in the program implemented in person.
4.  The student must pay the financial contribution, in order for his/her final registration in the program to be approved.

Request for exemption from the value of the financial contribution

You can apply for a partial exemption from the financial contribution value for registration in the programs through the registration system if you belong to one of the following categories, provided that supporting documents are attached to verify the validity of the application. 
•  Families registered with social security.
•  Affiliated with a charitable organization. 
•  Children of martyrs.
•  Their status is proven by a legal document (insolvency document)
Entrepreneurship and Innovation

It is a training program with pioneering content that contributes to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship and innovation, by providing interactive educational extracurricular material and digital educational material for second and third secondary school students.

Program Goals:
1) Raising students’ awareness of entrepreneurship and innovation and their importance.
2) Teaching students the basics and concepts of entrepreneurship, to turn ideas into reality. 
3) Enabling students to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in line with innovation and entrepreneurship.

Program competencies:
The program consists of 8 competencies in which students discover the topic of entrepreneurship and innovation using various activities and with the help of specialized trainers. These competencies are:
1) The concept of entrepreneurial mindset.
2) The concept of entrepreneurship.
3) The concept and types of innovation.
4) Marketing and its objectives.
5) The concept of financial awareness.
6) Brand identity design.
7) Time management.
8) Financial plan.

What is the Mawhiba Enrichment Program?

How do I nominate myself/my child/for the Mawhiba Skills Enrichment Program?
The student must be registered in the National Program for Giftedness Identification , in accordance with the criteria and admission requirements for registration in the program.
When is the Mawhiba Enrichment Program held?
The program is implemented during the second semester, and is held once a week if in-person on Saturday for four hours from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, or two days a week if remotely for two hours from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, or on Saturday remotely also for one day a week only from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, and the implementation extends for a period ranging from 7 to 9 weeks according to the program. The student can choose the days of implementation method and the appropriate teaching days.
What are the methods or approaches used in the Mawhiba enrichment program?
The methods and approaches used in training depend on applying training sessions, games and special activities that target students’ personal skills.
Is there a specific city where the Mawhiba Enrichment Program will be held?
The program serves all students in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran (in-person), Students from other cities in the Kingdom can participate in the program (remotely), for those who meet the nomination criteria for participation.

Can I get back the guardian’s contribution if I do not attend the Mawhiba Enrichment Program?
The specified contribution amount for participation in the program will be refunded in the event that the student apologizes for attending the program in accordance with the following controls: - 1- The student must have an emergency and compelling circumstance that prevents him from attending the program, as documented in an official document, such as a health problem that prevents him from attending, or a first-degree death.
