The General Conference of the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) whose 27th session was chaired by the Kingdom, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Vice Chairman of the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, Mr. Yousef Al-Benyan, and with the participation of their Excellencies the ministers and heads of the national committees for education, culture and science from 22 Arab countries, praised the "Gifted Arabs" initiative and its role in supporting the gifted in all Arab countries.
Through the Kingdom’s speech, the ALECSO General Conference expressed its appreciation for the "Gifted Arabs" initiative launched by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba", in partnership with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization "ALECSO", and its role in creating a stimulating environment for talent and creativity in the Arab world for the third year consecutively.
The "Gifted Arabs" initiative emerges from the Kingdom’s keenness to transfer its pioneering experience in discovering and nurturing gifted students to the Arab world, and to support Arab youth to invest their energies and abilities. This can be achieved by developing a special measure with the aim of discovering the gifted and the creative in the Arab world, in a way that is compatible with the diverse Arab culture and environment. It is based on a scientific methodology founded on the best international educational practices, in addition to sponsoring discoverers students through many for free qualitative programs by in person presence in the Kingdom or remotely.
The General Conference meeting is considered one of the important cultural events in the Arab world. It is organized by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and hosted by member states once every two years, to enhance joint action between Arab countries in various cultural fields.
