The Saudi Arabian national team has dominated the Gulf Scientific Olympiad, organized by the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) in partnership with the Ministry of Education. The Saudi students returned home with 14 medals, including nine golds.
The teams' success resulted from rigorous training by Saudi and international experts.
Saudi Arabia secured four medals in the Physics Olympiad, including two golds for Mazen Al-Shakhs and Fares Al-Ghamdi and two silvers for Hussein Al-Saleh and Anas Al-Saigh.
The Saudi mathematics team also excelled, winning six medals, including four golds for Youssef Ayman Bakhit, Ahmed Farid Al-Khalawi, Muath Saeed Al-Qahtani, and Mohammed Ahmed Al-Ghamdi. Ahmed Saad Al-Shehri and Fatima Hassan Bouali were awarded two silver medals.
The Saudi chemistry team secured four medals, including three golds for Haidar Al-Dubaisi, Ammar Al-Turkistani, and Rind Awda, and one silver for Ali Bawazeer.
The olympiad featured participation from 84 students representing member states and 44 team leaders and supervisors.
