Saudi Arabia Tops the 10th Arab Chemistry Olympiad 2025 with Four Medals (Two Gold)

The Saudi National Team has secured first place in the 10th Arab Chemistry Olympiad, held in Amman, Jordan, from August 05-09, 2025, with the engagement of 44 students representing 11 Arab countries.


The Kingdom’s delegation, comprising four students, achieved an outstanding result by earning four medals – two gold, one silver, and one bronze – placing Saudi Arabia at the top of the participating nations. With this result, the Kingdom’s total medal count in the Olympiad has risen to 12 medals (9 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze).


The gold medals were won by Haider Yasser Al-Dubaissi – the General Directorate of Education in the Eastern Province, and Ammar Mohammed Al-Turkistani – the General Directorate of Education in Jeddah, while Sarah Faisal Al-Raqib – the General Directorate of Education in Taif received a silver medal, and Faisal Adel Al-Sarhan – the Royal Commission of Education in Jubail received a bronze medal.


This remarkable achievement adds to the Kingdom’s growing record of excellence in regional and international scientific competitions, under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education.


The Arab Chemistry Olympiad is a prestigious scientific competition for high school students across the Arab world, featuring theoretical and practical examinations designed to assess their knowledge and laboratory skills in various chemistry disciplines.
