Minister of Education Sponsors the Launch of the Largest Saudi Trip to Discover Talented Students in Its Twelfth Year

Today, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the annual search for talented people in various regions of the Kingdom was officially launched for its twelfth year, under the patronage of HE the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, in the presence of HE the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mathami, HE the Acting Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Saad Al-Fuhaid, and HE Dr. Abdullah Al-Qati, Executive Director of the National Center for Measurement at the Education and Training Evaluation Authority.

The inauguration ceremony of the National Program for Gifted Identification was held at the headquarters of Mawhiba Foundation, marking the launch of the largest annual trip in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discover gifted and talented males and females in scientific approaches in various regions of the Kingdom from the third primary to the second secondary grade, through the "Mawhiba" Foundation, in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Education and Training Evaluation Commission.

During the ceremony, distinguished education departments were honored for nominating students for the program in its last session. In the first category, the Department of Gifted Education in the Eastern Province for Boys, and the Department of Gifted Education in the Eastern Province for Girls in the second category, the Department of Gifted Education in Afif Governorate for Boys, the Department of Gifted Education in Al-Hawtah and Al-Hariq for girls were honored, and in the third category the Department of Gifted Education in Al-Rass Governorate honored boys, and the Department of Gifted Education in Sabya Governorate for girls.

The Saudi Arabian Mining Company "MA'ADEN" and Takaful Charitable Foundation "Takaful" were also honored for their participation and contribution in supporting the entry of students from the northern borders in Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT), in addition to the insolvent students who receive support from Takaful.

The National Program for Gifted Identification is one of the main gateways that enable those who pass it to enter the gifted care programs offered by the Gifted Education Departments in the Ministry of Education, in addition to more than 19 different initiatives for the gifted offered by "Mawhiba" with its strategic partners.
