Once upon a time, student Ayman Al-Saedi was looking for a special gift for a loved one, and his feet led him to a prayer beads shop in Mecca, where he lives. However, he did not want an ordinary prayer beads, but rather a prayer beads that would be worthy of the person to whom it was given, for the gift is according to the love.
Ayman Al-Saedi was not concerned with the price as much as he was concerned with the quality, so he asked the vendors about scented rosaries, only to receive a negative answer repeatedly and from all the shops.
Ayman recounts the incident, saying: “I was looking for a special gift for men in perfume shops, and it occurred to me to buy a scented rosary, so I asked the seller if they had scented rosaries. The seller was surprised and answered in the negative.”
He wondered if the scented rosary did not exist, why not invent it?
Ayman was surprised and wondered if the scented rosary did not exist, so why not invent it? The matter kept him busy for a while until the idea crystallized in his mind in a systematic way, as he is a talented student, and the idea came out in its final form and revolved around merging the rosary with the perfume to create a scented rosary.
The idea went through several stages. After the grace of God Almighty, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and specifically the idea development service on the Mawhiba portal contributed to its development. This is where the idea started, and Mawhiba experts helped crystallize it. Their responses and discussions led Ayman Al-Saedi to discover several flaws in the initial idea, so it was developed scientifically.
The young inventor does not forget the role of the Gifted Care Program at his school, Al-Hussein Bin Ali Secondary School, in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, which played a significant role in motivating, guiding and supporting him.
Ayman complains that he did not find enthusiasm from any party to invest in the idea and turn it into a product, and with a tone of sadness he continues: “I did not find any person or specialized party to help me invest in the idea, knowing that I went to several parties, but in the end I did not receive any positive response from them, and I hope to find someone to help me because I do not have experience in manufacturing or investment.”
Despite the investors’ coldness, Ayman Al-Saedi has the determination and resolve to move forward after obtaining his patent, to invest in his idea, manufacture it, and present it to the market, so that it will be a product bearing the label “Made in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” God willing.
Our curious nature as humans makes ideas infinite in our minds. Al-Saedi’s journey will not stop at his first patent, as his ideas are many and his ambition is limitless. He says about that: “Our curious nature as humans makes ideas infinite in our minds, but the difference is between those who invest in these ideas and those who do not give them importance or significance.”
The young inventor Ayman Al-Saedi advises everyone who does not invest in the ideas inside them and continues to ignore them day after day to change this concept in order to reap the fruits of that quickly. He asks them to be certain that they possess treasures in their minds, which could be the reason for their bright future, but before that they must commit to patience first and last, as he emphasizes.
