In her imagination were images of many inventions and solutions to even more problems, but she had not thought about them seriously, until she learned that these ideas could become a reality one day..! 

She is Amal Saleh Al Rashid, who grew up in an educated and cultured family. Her childhood was characterized by eloquence, her thinking abilities, and her tendency towards design and innovation.

Amal's parents noticed this, so they focused a lot in raising her on showing her abilities, increasing her self-confidence, and involving her in school activities, competitions, and contests. Her mother was her first advisor in every ambitious idea and different desire.

Amal always speaks with gratitude about the encouragement she received from almost everyone, from her family, her colleagues, her teachers, her professors at university, and even from her imagination.. I consider my imagination and ambition as the horses I ride on my journey to success.

Her story with innovation:

Amal’s story with innovation began with her childhood imaginations, and her mother’s encouragement at a young age helped her think differently. However, her ability to think of an innovation that could be produced and manufactured grew after she specialized in the field of (physical therapy) at university, until she and her colleague Fatima Al Kathiri were finally able to invent the (electric moving splint).

With this invention, Amal won first place in the field of inventions and innovations. She learned that ideas can become reality one day..! She also won the bronze medal, in addition to obtaining a diploma from the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.

Invention of the electric moving splint:

This splint is distinguished by its unique design and new idea, as it was manufactured by combining the effect of electricity and the splint into one device. This device is distinguished by its lightness and ease of use, which makes the patient able to use it at home with ease.

This splint is designed for a specific condition, which is: (drop wrist) resulting from many problems, the most important of which is an injury to a nerve that supplies the hand muscles. This innovation has obtained a protection certificate from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.

Amal Al Rashid believes that her current success is just the beginning of a future that I will draw with great achievements . She confirms that there are five things that nothing is impossible after believing in them: • Belief in God and attachment to Him, observing Him and trusting in His giving, is a reason for success in any matter of life.

Optimism and hope are essential factors to overcome obstacles and stumbling blocks.

• Planning and setting goals are important to guide you in your life.

• Self-confidence and courage are energizing.

• Research, investigation, and benefiting from the experiences of others matures a person’s mentality and keeps him away from mistakes he made before.
