Al-Hanouf bint Saleh Al-Qubaa, holds a Master’s degree in Social Therapy. She joined Mawhiba Foundation as a student, then worked as part of the executive team for Mawhiba Foundation’s international and local programs, through several administrative and training roles. She also founded the Thinkers Building Project, which aims to instill in children a passion for learning in the field of science and technology.

She has received many local and international awards in the field of invention, including:

- Best Innovative Idea Award at the individual level in the first National Energy Hackathon held at KAUST University 2019.

- Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University Award for Research Excellence, Branch (Innovations and Scientific Discoveries) 2018 AD.

- Gold Medal from the South Korea Women's Invention Exhibition 2016.

- Bronze Medal from the South Korea Women’s Invention Exhibition 2015.

She also has 3 patents in the fields of medicine, mechanical engineering and industrial models.

I joined the “Mawhiba” program for young leaders, which was implemented by a group of expert trainers in the field of leadership from the IMD Center. In Switzerland, it is considered one of the leading programs that prepare leaders and qualify them in terms of skills and knowledge at an early stage. The result of this is her current presidency of the Intellectual Property Department at Princess Nourah University.

She says about the impact of the Mawhiba Foundation:

Mawhiba Foundation has given us a mosaic land characterized by beauty, faith and investment. Not only that, but it has also provided us with the most brilliant and responsible individuals as guides and inspirations. Their efforts were not limited to the beginning and end of the program, but the construction and illumination have extended to this moment, as we carry out our mission and contribute to the development of this country. This is what has helped us - after God’s grace - to progress.

As for her beginnings in invention, she recalls: My story with invention began at the age of approximately 10 to 12 years, when the school organized a trip to a biscuit factory, to learn about the industrial process of the product. From the first moment I entered the factory, I was overwhelmed with a sense of astonishment in front of these large machines that work with extreme precision. I returned home understanding the concept of artificial intelligence and automated robots, and my imagination made me invent a machine every day that would solve a problem and improve life for humans.

* Knowledge is power.. and the weakest soul is the one who does not read

My only window - at that time - to satisfy this passion was reading and learning, despite the scarcity of sources suitable for my age in this field. However, reading the stories of inventors and the beginning of the emergence and development of inventions inspired me, and I imitated the ABCs of this scientific, analytical and creative thinking.

Of course, I didn't succeed the first time and would stumble, but I got up every time with my eyes on the goal.

And with the continuation of that, and with the guidance and support of those who have the credit; my parents and teachers, I was able to register 3 patents, which are:

- A medical tool for determining the location of a blood sample taken from the body.

- Weighing machines device.

- Fruit picking and collecting device.

last word..

I aspire to increase the number of innovation and entrepreneurship support centers in general and higher education, and to improve their outputs in partnership with research universities to manufacture Prototype. The Local Innovation Investment Program should be one of the vision programs that are adopted, and the program should be included in the document for localizing industries.

I conclude with what Einstein said:

(Don't fight for success, fight for value.)
