About Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program

The Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program aims to introduce students to the basics and ethics of scientific research, and the potential resulting intellectual property. Moreover, the program develops scientific research skills, such as: skills of using laboratory equipment, safety protocols of laboratories and materials, conducting research experiments, analyzing data, concluding results, writing scientific reports, coming up with original research ideas, and learning to write scientific research abstracts in technical and scientific areas This is accomplished through contact with scientific specialists and actual practice inside the laboratories that includes the development of personal skills.

The Mawhiba Research Enrichment Program is implemented in partnership with leading scientific and technical entities. It focuses on improving the scientific research skills of students through actual practice on research of scientific and real value within the laboratories. It also supports the development of personal and social skills. This initiative can be either on a full-time or part-time basis or also online (in some appropriate areas) at a number of research centers in universities, hospitals and leading institutes of scientific research. It targets students in grades 9, 10, and 11 in all cities of Saudi Arabia. Usually, the program is held in the summer vacation of schools for 4 weeks. Distinguished students with promising ideas continue to be nurtured through the Mawhiba Mentorship Program for 6 months, during which scientific support is provided and their research is supervised and developed.

Note : Registration for the 2024 program is open from March 6 to May 29, and will be implemented during the period specified in the registration form.

Eligible for the program

Students of the National Program for Gifted Students at the third level (from the third middle school grade to the second secondary grade).

Registration terms

1. The student must be of Saudi nationality or have a Saudi mother. Non-Saudis will be accepted, not exceeding 10% of the total number of students*.

2. The student must obtain a score of 1350 or higher on the Mawhiba scale for multiple mental abilities (whether the test language is Arabic or English).

3. If the student is tested for the Mawhiba Multiple Intelligence Scale in Arabic, he/she must obtain one of the following scores for the English language tests as a minimum:

4. The student must register through the Enrichment Programs Registration Portal, specify the type of program, and complete the registration stage.

5. The student must pay the financial contribution after being notified of the nomination, in order for his/her final registration in the program to be approved.

Request for partial exemption from the value of the financial contribution

You can apply for a partial exemption from the financial contribution value for registration in the programs through the registration system if you belong to one of the following categories, provided that supporting documents are attached to verify the validity of the application.

• Families registered with social security.

• Affiliated with a charitable organization.

• Children of martyrs.

• Their status is proven by a legal document (insolvency document) .

The program is implemented remotely through an e-learning platform that serves talented students in all regions of the Kingdom.

My presence:

Full-time : Full-time accommodation in the host country’s residence.
Part -time: Attendance at the program headquarters during the specified hours.
